Mr. Drakich has tightly woven fascination, fear, and curiosity into this story. I felt compassion for the aliens who had the misfortune of being detained by the government and at the same time, admired the way individuals were portrayed. From sympathetic and compassionate, to disgustingly and shamefully cruel, you will love some of the characters in this story immediately and love to hate others.
